Waldorf on Fire, LLC was founded by Jaime Delgado, LCSW (they, them/he, him) after nearly a decade working in Waldorf schools across America, and over 20 years working with children in clinical and community settings. Jaime began their Waldorf journey as a class teacher but has filled many roles during their career, including: handwork/practical arts co-director, camp teacher, student support professional, social inclusion chair, faculty co-chair, student internship facilitator, ombudsman, health & human fertility teacher, and mentor. Jaime left teaching after witnessing and experiencing consistent discrimination in Waldorf schools, social groups, and online communities. Over the years, they have been contacted by hundreds of other Waldorf community members who have shared similar experiences. Waldorf on Fire , LLC was created to provide personal and spiritual empowerment for those seeking equity in their communities. It is a place to share our stories, resources and fellowship. This is a place to ask questions, challenge oppression, and create a new way of being in our Waldorf spaces. This is the place where you are Waldorf enough! Book a stay with us or find our FaceBook forum to visit us virtually.
Jaime holds a Waldorf Elementary Education certificate from Sunbridge Institute, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of the Arts, and a Master of Social Work from Fordham University. Jaime is a National SEED (Seeking Educational Equity & Diversity) facilitator. They are also an ordained minister with The Church of the Dude. They have dedicated this space to their students and to those who have spoken out for change.
